The updating and revamping of the FCC unit at Galp’s refinery in Sines have been conducted since last September. The works have lasted two months, as scheduled, and our 1350-ton unit carried out its first task successfully, fully satisfying both our client and the participant engineering specialists.

One of the usual actions in the energy and industrial area for EUROGRUAS, through its Heavy-Lift Division, ALTON Lifting and Sliding Systems, is the positioning of equipment belonging to thermal power stations, from its transport to the base. In this article, we will focus on the positioning of 2 gas turbines (of 320 tons each) and 2 alternators (of 400 tons each), belonging to 2 single-shaft groups, for Lares Combined-Cycle Power Station located in Figueira da Foz (Portugal), carried out throughout June and July 2008.

EUROGRUAS participates in the repair of the distillation column at Repsol’s refinery in Puertollano. During the stop of Repsol’s refinery in Puertollano, last July, the repair of the distillation column was carried out.

EUROGRUAS has several aerial platforms up to 105 metres high. These platforms are mounted on wheeled bodies, similar to those of mobile cranes.
The platforms are operated by one of EUROGRUAS’ operators, since their complexity requires training, capacity and experience.
This type of equipment is mainly used for maintenance.

Spanish oil company Cepsa has selected EUROGRUAS to be its crane supplier for the construction and maintenance of the new MDCE plant at Huelva’s refinery.
