SERVIÇOS EOLICOS DO BRASIL, LTDA., has succeeded in the completion of the wind farm complex Alto Sertao, before the agreed date, property of Renova Energy, a Brazilian company leader in the renewable energy sector and wind market.
Located in the municipalities of Caetité, Guanambi and Igaporã, in the Brazilian state of Bahía, the wind farm complex Alto Sertao has a power output of 293.6 MW. It is composed of 14 wind farms and a total of 184 wind turbines General Electric of 1.6 MW, being thus the biggest wind farm in Latin America.
EUROGRUAS 2000 has undertaken this project through its Brazilian subsidiary, SERVIÇOS EOLICOS DO BRASIL, LTDA. Among others, the following cranes have been used in order to lift the wind turbines: 250-ton Terex Demag AC 250 cranes, 500-ton Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1, 700-ton Terex Demag AC 700 and 600-ton Terex Demag CC 2800-1 NT, a narrow-track crawler crane.
SERVIÇOS EOLICOS DO BRASIL, LTDA., has installed a total of 323 wind turbines of different manufacturers since it started its operations in Brazil, in April 2009.
