June 2012
BP’s Oil Refinery in Castellón started the largest stop of its 45 years of history, both in volume of investment – 50 million Euros- and in the volume of works or their duration.
This stop was aimed at checking the equipment and conducting maintenance works. Among these works, the reactor in the catalytic conversion plant was replaced. In order to do that, EUROGRUAS used a 1,350-ton Liebherr LR11350 lattice crawler crane, provided with a 90-metre boom, capable of lifting the 250-ton reactor.
The pieces were transported using Goldhofer modular equipment, with 16 lines.
BP’s Head of Maintenance and Engineering thanked EUROGRUAS for its commitment during the Safety stop.
