Heavy lifting work in Dragados Offshore

EUROGRUAS is participating in two major projects, Mariner y Vega Pleyade, which Dragados Offshore is carrying out in parallel in their facilities of Puerto Real.

The project called Mariner includes the construction of an oil platform "jacket" for the Norwegian company Statoil. The metal structure of 21.000 tons of weight, will be used for the extraction of crude in the North Sea and, once completed, it will be one of the world biggest oil platforms.

In addition, Dragados Offshore is performing to the company Total Austral Argentina the Vega Pleyade project, involving the construction of another platform "jacket", in this case of 1,000 tons of weight which also includes a module of 1,500 tons and anchorage piles of 800 tons.

From March to December, EUROGRUAS has carried out various lifting heavy works for both projects. For their execution was chosen two lattice crawler cranes, a TEREX DEMAG CC-1800 of 300 t and a TEREX DEMAG CC-2800-1 of 600 t.
