First LR 1800 to Eurogrúas

April 2019

Spanish crane and access rental company EUROGRUAS has taken delivery of the first 800 tonne Liebherr LR 1800-1.0 lattice crawler crane

The crane, said to be the largest machine shown at Bauma, was delivered directly to a refinery in Portugal and also features the V-Frame, which adjusts the counterweight with a hydraulically folding frame with a radius between 11 and 23 metres.

EUROGRUAS ’ Javier Sato said: “This means a high degree of flexibility in applications in confined spaces and enables faster crane work. The LR 1800-1.0 is very good for crane work with little space, but it is also a universal crane for a wide range of applications with more space.”

“Due to market conditions, we have been looking for a rugged, versatile and modular crane that is easy to transport and offers high safety standards. The ability to slide three lattice masts together makes this very profitable. The performance of the LR1800-1.0 is unique in its class.”

Based in Seville, southern Spain, Eurogrúas runs around 150 All Terrain, Rough Terrain and crawler cranes with capacities up to 1,000 tonnes. The company was established over 20 years ago and offers crane and aerial work platform rental along with heavy lift contracting.
